The Lifehill Vision was born out of a need and a burden. In October of 2004 Camp Loma de Vida brought John Mendoza to be its new director. During the following years God began to do a marvelous work at our ministry. The next few summers Loma de Vida began filling up each week of camp and seeing more children desiring to attend. Camp Loma de Vida's facilities began showing signs of their age and their inability to meet the needs of this next generation. Having been constructed since the mid 1960's many of the buildings were just too old to continue serving their purpose. It was this need that caused the board of the camp to begin searching for a new piece of property for a future camp.
In October of 2007 Camp Loma de Vida purchased 140 acres of land in the ranch community of north Edinburg, Texas. God has placed a special burden on the camp to create a one of a kind premiere camp site. This site would be suitable to house double the capacity of campers and would be 5 times the acreage of the current camp site.
There is no doubt that it will take years of work and sacrifice to see this vision come to fruition, but with God's help we know it will be accomplished. Please consider partnering with us in this wonderful endeavor of seeing Camp Loma de Vida grow into Lifehill Christian Camp and Conference Center through this wonderful experience we call the "Lifehill Vision."
The Project is estimated to cost $3 Million. God has provided half of the funds to date. You too can be a part of the Lifehill experience by donating to the Lifehill Fund. You will be a part of seeing the next generation of children have a wonderful camp that will mold them body, mind and soul. To God be the Glory for placing this need and burden. May we find ourselves faithful to complete this task.
